Compared To Tarmac Alternatives, Why Should You Shoose PVC Speed Bumps?

 1. Cost.

Heavy Duty Speed Bumps are expensive to install, and it can take several hours to do it correctly. The old road surface needs to be keyed and cut so the additional tarmac that forms the hump will stick to the surface. Due to the amount of time and equipment required, the bill usually works out at 4 - 5 times the price of a PVC alternative.

2. Installation Time. Well as stated above, Tarmac needs time to cure fully which can take as long as 24 hours. It is possible for your premises to be blocked for that length of time. It's not only the curing time though, but the installation process is also quite a lot more labor-intensive so this takes a lot more time too.

3. Life span. Tarmac bumps are not uniform, no matter how well they are installed, they often deviate from the correct profile. In other words, they are caught by low vehicles and scraped. The tarmac can deform with repeated heavy use, as can be seen from the "tramlines" worn into the road on the motorway by heavy vehicles in lane 1. This can happen with tarmac speed bumps too! which means some vehicles may even become beached on the speed bump.

UV light can damage rubber bumps, and heat and frost will also break down the rubber compound. 4. What if you want to remove it? As you can imagine, having tarmac speed bumps takes a while, since the road surface below the bumps has to be reformed and resurfaced. Therefore, when you install them, you have to pay again to have them removed.
